FAQ

What types of therapy do you offer?

I provide specialized therapies including Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), EMDR, Ego State Therapy, Hypnotherapy, The Gottman Method for couples, and Christian Counseling (upon request). Each approach is tailored to address challenges like trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).

How long does therapy take to see results?

The timeline varies based on your unique needs and goals. Some clients notice relief after a few sessions, while deeper trauma or relationship work may take months. We’ll create a personalized plan during your initial consultation.

Do you offer couples counseling?

Yes, I use The Gottman Method to help couples rebuild intimacy, improve communication, and resolve conflicts. This evidence-based approach fosters stronger, healthier relationships.

Is Christian Counseling available for all sessions?

Christian Counseling is offered upon request. It integrates faith-based guidance with psychotherapy for those seeking spiritual structure alongside emotional healing.

How do I book a session?

You can schedule a session by contacting me via phone or email, or by selecting the Book Now on the website. I offer a free initial consultation to discuss your needs and how I can support you.

Who can benefit from your services?

My services are designed for adults seeking relief from complex trauma, anxiety, depression, anger or relationship conflicts. I also support those navigating Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) or seeking faith-based guidance through Christian Counseling.

How does psychotherapy help with trauma?

Psychotherapy offers a safe, supportive space to process past wounds, build emotional resilience, and regain clarity. Techniques like EMDR and DBR target trauma at its core, helping you reduce distress and foster lasting healing.

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance. I also offer competitive self-pay rates and can provide a superbill for you to submit the claim for reimbursement through your insurance.

Are sessions in-person or virtual?

I offer both in-person sessions in Tucson, Arizona, and virtual sessions via secure telehealth platforms, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for all clients.

How confidential are therapy sessions?

Your privacy is my top priority. All sessions are confidential, adhering to HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, with exceptions only in cases required by law (e.g., imminent harm).

What should I expect in my first session?

Your first session is a chance to share your concerns, goals, and history. I’ll listen carefully, answer questions, and outline a personalized plan to guide your healing journey.

For more information or to schedule a session, please reach out through the contact page.

What is the difference between EMDR and DBR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps process bothersome memories through guided eye movements, reducing their emotional impact. Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) focuses on healing trauma by addressing deep neurological patterns, often complementing EMDR for deeper resolution.

Can counseling help with managing stress and burnout?

Absolutely. Counseling provides tools to manage stress and burnout by addressing their root causes, such as anxiety or overwhelming responsibilities. Through techniques like Hypnotherapy and EMDR, I help you build coping strategies, restore balance, and rediscover calm in your daily life.
